Dr. Duncanson is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in neuropsychological assessment. She completed her doctoral degree at Suffolk University within the Neuropsychology Track. Her training included an internship at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) as well as postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School's Harvard-Partners Consortium. She trained in pediatric assessment at MGH's Psychology Assessment Center and in adult and geriatric assessment at Brigham and Women's Hospital's (BWH) Center for Brain/Mind Medicine. She completed a rotation conducting safety assessments in the Emergency Department of MGH and was an active member of the epilepsy pre-surgical team at BWH during fellowship.
Dr. Duncanson holds a faculty position as Instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School. She is the Director of Neuropsychology at Massachusetts General Hospital's Chelsea Healthcare Center. Here, she manages the neuropsychology clinic and directs a training program providing lectures and clinical supervision for PhD students and other doctors. She is the Principal Investigator on a research project examining cognitive, emotional, and behavioral characteristics and predictors of neurodevelopmental disorders in a culturally diverse population.
Dr. Duncanson has particular expertise in autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD, dementia syndromes, and various medical and neurological disorders. She employs a neurodiversity affirming approach and focuses on harnessing strengths while effectively addressing areas of improvement to help patients achieve success.
